Amy Rahe is a leader in non-profits and survivor of trafficking.
She was put in jail for a month at the age of 20 after a long history of abuse, trafficking and drug addiction. This life changing and defining moment helped shift her course after seeing other incarcerated women with the same stories of abuse, oppression and addiction.
Amy Rahe’s extensive experience includes serving as the Managing Director of External Relations at the Freedom Fund, an initiative recognized in a Harvard Business School case study. She is deeply committed to ensuring economic security and access to decent work for survivors, believing these are crucial for sustaining their freedom. Her work, particularly through the Freedom Fund’s partnerships in India, underscores the importance of strengthening community-led support systems to prevent re-exploitation.
Rahe is dedicated to advancing the role of survivor leaders, focusing on creating stable, paid positions where they can drive meaningful change in the fight against modern slavery. She is also passionate about the growing movement to hold supply chains accountable, ensuring that the goods and services we rely on come from ethical sources.
